The National Barbecue Association designates each May of the calendar annually to celebrate and promote all things BBQ with “MAY IS NATIONAL BARBECUE MONTH !” Members of the Association are encouraged to join in a grass roots effort to promote the flavor, fun and family ties of good barbecue in their own unique and stylish ways. Look through all the following suggestions to help promote National Barbecue Month, and begin your planning early with your own expanded ideas.

Be sure to pre-plan your May is National Barbecue Month events and act early by placing your ads in April, ordering your printed materials, banners, giveaways, and collateral materials in March or April so they will be available and published BEFORE May. The National Barbecue Association has plans to help coordinate many of these ideas with a common logo, products we can possibly purchase in bulk and resell to those of you who plan to work with us on this promotion. Just remember, although MAY is a special month for joining in the promotion of tasty BBQ, any month is a good time to point out and publicize the flavor, fun and family ties surrounding your BBQ passion.
